Email Setup
To enable EMail sending tick the "Send Email after
every capture" box.
You can send the captured WMV movie as an attachment, and/or
you can send the first frame of capture as a JPEG attachment.
Just tick the "Add Atachments" boxes
as required.
"SMTP email server"
We recommend that you "Use CAM Wizards
own built in SMTP server" for sending email with
CAM Wizard. This usually gives the most stable, reliable
and efficient mode of operation. CAM Wizard uses a DNS lookup
engine to send mail directly to the recipients server, thus it does not need to
use a relay server.
If you choose to "Specify a remote SMTP
server" (aka a mail relay server)
then you need to fill the relevant box with the correct SMTP
server address. This address will depend on which ISP you use
for your internet connection, if you've always used hotmail
then you may not be familiar with the term SMTP, but you more
than likely will have an SMTP server that you can use.
There follows a list of some common ISPs
and their associated SMTP server, so if you were with the ISP:Freeserve
you would need to type "smtp.freeserve.co.uk" into
the box.

if you can't find your ISP in the list above then we recommend
that you visit the website of your ISP and search the help for "SMTP
server" if that fails then contact your ISP via email and
ask them: "What is the name of your SMTP server that I can
use to send email through?".
"Send to email address"
This is the emai address that you wish to send the automatic
emails to, it's the address that you will have to check for the
CAM Wizard alert emails. So if you want to send intrusion alerts
to yourself whilst you're at work, enter your work email address
here.
"Return to email address"
This field is optional, you can have cam wizards automatic
emails appear to have come from any email address that you wish.
If a person replies to the automatic email, this is the address
to which they will be replying. If you don't fill this field
out then the recipient of the automatic email will not be able
to click "reply to mail" after they have read the automatic
email.
"Custom body text"
This field is optional, whatever you type in this
box will get inserted into the alert email, you may wan't to
insert an explanation as to why the email has been sent etc.
it's up to you what you wnter in this box.
Having Problems
Getting CAM Wizard to Send EMail?
If you're sure that you've entered your correct SMTP server
address and you still can't get CAM Wizard to send automatic
emails then it could be down to the following problems:
[1]Connection:
Are you sure your computer is online, is it able to surf
the internet using a regular browser.
[2]Firewall:
You must let CAM Wizard have access to the internet in order
to send email.
[3]Spam
filter:
If you've setup the email correctly and you know you've got the SMTP address
correct and your CAM Wizard emails aren't getting through to the destination
email address then the chances are that a spam filter is throwing your CAM Wizard emails away. SOLUTION: Try entering some text into the custom body
text box. Copy and paste a good page of text out of a real email. Also you
may want to try leaving the return to email address blank.
