We
have been informed that
storage card installation
is not possible on certain
machines. The following
procedure will work with
any peice of software originally
installed to your PocketPC
main memory.
In
this example we show you
how to install PocketJam
to a storage card. You could
swap PocketJam for
ApplicationX to make
this procedure work for
another peice of software
installed to your main memory. |

Install
PocketJam to your PocketPCs main memory
(not a storage card).
Open
your PocketPC File Explorer and
navigate to the following folder:
My Device\Program Files\
Within
the Program Files folder you
will see a folder called PocketJam.
Tap and hold this folder until a menu
pops up; select 'Cut' from the
menu.
Now
Navigate to the following location:
My
Device\Storage Card\
Tap
the Edit menu in the bottom left
of the PocketPC File Explorer. Now tap
the Paste menu item.
You
will now see a PocketJam folder
in your storage card. Tap the PocketJam
folder to enter it.
You
will now see the PocketJam program
file. Tap and hold the PocketJam
program file until a menu pops
up; select 'Copy' from the menu.
Now
navigate to the following location:
My Device\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\
Within
the this folder you will see a shortcut
file named PocketJam. Tap and
hold this file until a menu pops up;
select 'Delete' from the menu.
A confirmation dialog will popup asking
you if you're sure that you want to
delete 'PocketJam'?; press Yes.
Tap
the Edit menu in the bottom left
of the PocketPC File Explorer. Now tap
the Paste Shortcut menu item.
This
step is optional:
A new shortcut called 'Shortcut to
PocketJam' will appear. Tap
and hold the 'Shortcut
to PocketJam' until a menu pops up; select 'Rename'
from the menu and rename it to 'PocketJam'.
That's
it, all done you can now launch PocketJam
from the start menu as per normal,
provided that you have your storage
card plugged in.
