of SPLIT datasets is now operating
correctly (thanks to Luke Hamburg
for his expertise in this area!).
Forward and Reverse splits can now
be split adjusted by the data parsing
engine. Increased the maximum allowed default ticks, in the App Setup screen, to 200 Added 'Propogate Settings' main menu item. Pressing this will cause all the charts in the system to have the same time range and analysis setup as the currently displayed chart. Added Data 'Reload' menu items in the TickerList screen. This allows the user to force a complete data reload in order to fix errant data from previous corrupt downloads. One should note that a reload will take considerably longer to perform than an update. In effect a reload downloads all of the historical stock data from scratch rather than just appending new data to what has already been downloaded. Added an 'operation complete' dialog that pops up after updating/reloading all data sets. Removed the 'Data Method' from the 'App Setup screen'. The data download method now incorporates the best bits of each method. Further work has been done on the data parsing engine to make the data downloads quicker and more robust. Also changed the way that the most recent (todays) chart datum is handled. When a moving average line is being displayed on a chart, the user is now able to see the wavefront moving average value at a glance. [4] When the user presses the joypad FIRE the ticker list screen is displayed. The user can then use the joypad UP/DOWN to select a ticker. Then press FIRE to view the chart for that ticker. [1] Added "Help" menu item. [2] Made the default chart type have a volume overlay with a bar type histogram setting. The number of days displayed on a default chart is now 50 instead of 60. [3] All persistent data (chart data .pri and .ini) is now stored in the applications working directory. This allows for encapsulated installation to a memory card (truly self contained). [4] The web download engine has been rewritten to increase speed and resolve some minor instability problems that were found on certain PocketPCs. If an internet connection is not available then the application informs the user about the lack of connection, allowing the user to initiate an internet connection via ActiveSync etc. Unlike older versions you do not have to restart the application after initiating a connection, the connection is now truly hot pluggable. Good news for GPRS users! Another neat side effect of this fix is a slight reduction in files size! [5] Reduced nag screen occurence to give users a better evaluation experience.
