[1] Added note slide capability. This involved a major rewrite of the inner parts of the synthesis engine. This is backward compatible in that any old JAM song when loaded up will automatically get converted into the new format which includes note slide data. [2] Synth 2 had a mini bug, whereby user changes to note or octave when in pattern mode were not put realtime into the mix. This has been remedied. [3] Added an extra octave down below, i.e. extra BASS! [4] The jam file now contains info on the loop/pat mode status (boolean) ActiveSync

[1] Added stereo capability with seperate recordeable PAN controls on each instrument. This stereo functionality is fully backward compatible, so any existing JAM files that you've created will load into this new version no problem! [2] Removed export as .SND menu item. Added export as MONO WAV menu item. Added export as STEREO WAV menu item. [3] When PocketJam opens it now searches for the existence of a JAM tune called 'default.jam' in the applications working directory. If found the default JAM file is loaded, otherwise no JAM file is loaded. Users are encouraged to put their own Default.JAM file in the working directory. ActiveSync

[1] General Speed Improvements Improved analogue filter algorithms, they now run faster. These speed increases have eliminated all instances of final mix dropout on our test platform (iPAQ 3850). It has also allowed us to implement animated controls in loop mode (see [3]) [2] Augmented STOP button functionality: In loop mode: 1st click stops/pauses 2nd click rewinds to beginning of loop [3] In loop mode you now have the ability to see recorded control values actually play out realtime on the synths. The controls are animated with the recorded data. This animation can be disabled through the toolbar icon for slower CPUs. [4] Ability to import new drum sounds. New sounds replace the defaults. New imported sounds get saved in a compressed chunk within the JAM file (chunk format is 22050 Hz signed 16bit mono). So if you send a JAM file to a freind, your new imported samples will be sent with it! The import facility is accesed through menu item: "Menu/Drums/Kit Editor" Imported data can be of the following formats: .SND file: RAW data 22050 Hz signed 16bit mono .WAV files: Mono 8 bit unsigned 8000 Hz Mono 8 bit unsigned 11025 Hz Mono 8 bit unsigned 22050 Hz Mono 8 bit unsigned 44100 Hz Stereo 8 bit unsigned 8000 Hz Stereo 8 bit unsigned 11025 Hz Stereo 8 bit unsigned 22050 Hz Stereo 8 bit unsigned 44100 Hz Mono 16 bit signed 8000 Hz Mono 16 bit signed 11025 Hz Mono 16 bit signed 22050 Hz Mono 16 bit signed 44100 Hz Stereo 16 bit signed 8000 Hz Stereo 16 bit signed 11025 Hz Stereo 16 bit signed 22050 Hz Stereo 16 bit signed 44100 Hz Most PocketPCs are capable of generating .WAV Samples of one or more of the above formats. This gives the user the ability to record/use samples whilst out and about, away from his/her PC. [5] Ability to enter the note editing matrixes from loop mode. When in a matrix in loop mode the displayed pattern changes as the loop plays. The loop matrices also include toolbar icons for 'Copy' and 'Paste' allowing the user to quickly compose/alter the riff sequence. [6] All matrixes (synth & drum) now have stop & play toolbar icons for one touch control of the sequence data. [7] The red 7 segment LED numeric displays have been brightened slightly in order that they be more legible on monochromatic displays. [8] Graphical Changes: New toolbar icon graphics have been drawn. New about screen graphics ant text layout. Main synth skin has been cleaned slightly. [9] Added user confirmation dialogs to various functions, to prevent accidental data manipulation/loss. [10] Added 'Save as Wav (looped fx)'. This causes a truly loopable sample to be saved to disk, it's loopable because echoes from the last bar are carried into the first bar. [11] Added mechanisms to make application compatible with Handango software resellers. ActiveSync
